On the other side of the pencil, you’ll be able to find the spoolie. If I pull lightly on the lid and it doesn’t come off, it means it’s the spoolie side. On the Micro Brow, the lid on the spoolie side closes a lot tighter than the brow pencil side – I’m not sure if this is the same on all of the pencils or if it is a defect on my particular pencil, but it makes it easier to tell which side is which. When I used the ABH Brow Wiz, I felt like I almost always opened up the spoolie side first when I wanted the brow pencil, and that was annoying. The one thing I intensely dislike about the packaging of both products is that you can’t tell which side is the spoolie and which side is the brow pencil.

The packaging of these two brow products look very similar No one can deny that the packaging is exactly the same, as both brow products are skinny, double-ended pencils with the brow pencil on one end and a spoolie for brushing out your brows on the other end. I would say that the ABH Brow Wiz does look a little more expensive, but for me that alone is not enough to justify the price difference.

While the Micro Brow is just a little more than half the price of the ABH Brow Wiz, I personally think it’s still a bit expensive for a drugstore brow product. Comparing the prices of both products, the ABH Brow Wiz retails at $27 for 0.003 oz, while I purchased the NYX Micro Brow for $13.99 for 0.003 oz. Honestly, at this point it seems there is a very high probability that these brow pencils are likely made in the same factory. The product information was very interesting to me: both pencils are made in South Korea (NYX’s says Korea, which means South Korea for obvious reasons) and both weigh 0.003 oz. If I had known I was nearing the end of the pencil, I would have saved more of the product for photos so you can more easily compare the look of the pencils. I have to apologize in advance – in my photos you’ll barely be able to see the actual brow product of the ABH Brow Wiz, because there was only a little nub left before I realized I couldn’t twist it up any longer. I purchased the ABH Brow Wiz from Sephora, and the NYX Micro Brow from Shoppers Drug Mart, but you can also find it the Micro Brow at standalone NYX stores. While doing some research online, I found that the NYX Micro Brow pencil is a widely-known good drugstore dupe for the Brow Wiz, so I decided to give it a try. However, I think it’s quite expensive for how long it lasted me, and I felt like I could find something just as good at the drugstore.
